Khed Mela 2010  (FLYER)
  • PSCA of Michigan is hosting 3rd Khed Mela on July 10th (Saturday) at Independence Park Canton. This event will start after the ardas at 7AM. Please be there on time.
  • This will be a family event. You can join the crowd of thousands of people with your family. Security is hired. Check out the pictures of last year Khed Mela.
  • Jalabies,Pakoras and Tea will be served in the morning. Free lunch will be provided in the afternoon. Also fruits and kids snacks will be available. Beside this, there will be food stalls serving goal gappe, chat papri etc. and Ice cream truck will be there in the parking lot for the frozen snacks.
  • Athletics and Volleyball matches will start after the ardas and short opening speech.
  • Soccer and under 18 Kabaddi matches will start around 9:00 AM.
  • Professional Kabaddi teams are coming from Midwest Cities and Canada. Also well known commentator Sukhcahin Brar will do the commentary for kabaddi matches.
  • Well known singer Geeta Zaildar will be performing with musicians.
 
   Kabaddi

There will be 4~6 'A' Kabaddi teams coming from midwest cities.
1st prize: $5100
2nd prize: $3100.
 
There will be  2~4  'B' Kabaddi teams(Age group: Under 18).
1st prize: $800
2nd prize: $400 
 
 
Well known commentator Sukhchain Brar will do commentary for kabaddi matches
 
 
 
Kabaddi-under 18 matches will start around 9:00 am.

   Athletics
Athletics is for everyone. We are sure, you will find something interesting for yourself to participate in. 
 
Each participant must fill up the waiver form to get the wrist band. The wrist band is mandatory for participation.
 
 
All athletic events will start after the ardas and opening speech. You must be present at the park before 8:30 AM.
 
 
 We will also display the athletic schedule at the administration table and one near food area.

   Volleyball 
There will be 7~10 volleyball teams (Age group: Men) competing for
1st prize: $1200 
2nd prize: $800.
 
 
 
For volleyball-Under 18 matches, please contact volleyball coordinators. 
 
 
2~3 volleyball nets will be available to cover all matches.
 
 
Volleyball matches will start early in the morning. All volleyball teams must be present at the Park before 8:30AM.

   Tug of War and Weight lifting
For tug of war competition, there should be atleast 2 teams from each of the following age groups.
  • Men
  • Women
  • Boys under 18
  • Girls under 18
Each team must have 10 players.
